Privacy Policy

The short version. Weekly Safe to Spend has no accounts and no servers. Your budgets, expenses and settings are stored on your device and are never sent to us — we could not read them if we wanted to. The app does not track you, does not use your location, and shows no ads.
What the app stores
Everything you enter — your budget, payday, expenses, commitments, categories and preferences — is written to your device's local storage. It stays on the device. There is no sign-up, no login, and no account to create.
Deleting the app deletes this data. Because it is only stored locally, we cannot recover it for you afterwards, and it is not included in any backup we hold — only in your own device or iCloud backups, if you have those enabled.
What we collect
Nothing. The app makes no network requests to any service we operate, because we do not operate one. We receive no analytics, no usage statistics, no crash reports, and no personal information from your use of the app.
Location
The app does not request, collect, or use your location. The location permissions are explicitly disabled in the app's configuration.
Purchases
Premium is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system. If you buy Premium or restore a previous purchase, that transaction is handled by Apple and by RevenueCat, the service we use to verify entitlements.
For this, RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier generated for your install, along with the purchase receipt Apple provides. It does not receive your name, your email address, or anything you have entered into the app. Apple's own handling of your payment is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Notifications
If you turn on reminders, they are scheduled locally by your device. No notification is sent from a server, and nothing about them reaches us.
Exporting your data
Premium includes CSV and JSON export. The exported file is created on your device and handed to the iOS share sheet — where it goes next is entirely your choice. It does not pass through us.
Children
The app is rated 4+ and is not directed at children. Since it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either.
Your rights
Regulations such as the GDPR and CCPA give you the right to access, correct, export and delete the personal data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to return or erase. Your data is already entirely under your control: it is on your device, exportable from within the app, and removed when you delete the app.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date above. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
